RSS leader Indresh Kumar slams Kerala temples for Denying entry to non-Hindus

Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 4: Expressing the deep concern over the restrictions imposed by various Hindu temples in the state of Kerala RSS National Executive member Indresh Kumar said that opposing the entry of non-Hindus to temples is against our cultural ethos.

He was speaking on the occasion of Cardinal Feast Day at Major Archbishop House in Pattom. Citing the famous judgement of Supreme Court Kumar said, "Hinduism is a way of life, not a religion. Hitting out at the orthodox and rigid sentiment in the society RSS leader said that everyone is equal before the God and our ancient Sanatana Dharma does not allow any type of discrimination.

"The presence of God can't be limed to a particular place of worship, State, country or continent. It is everywhere. God is the creator of the entire Universe, not the creator of a particular religion. ” Said Kumar.

Commenting on the socio-cultural environment in the state of Kerala he stated that many notice boards are exhibited in several temples in Kerala restricting entry of non-Hindus in temples even managed by various Devaswom Boards. He appealed all the Hindu temples to shun this notion and allow everybody to enter into Temples for the grace of god.

He advised all section of society to focus on good Karma which ultimately decides the way for heaven. He urged fellow citizens to follow their religious practices without fear, but asked them to respect other religions also.

Calling Hinduism as the mother of all religions Indresh Kumar said that in the country like Bharat which preaches universal motherhood, such act of inequality is highly condemnable.

The function at the Bishop House was attended by prominent leaders including Opposition leader Senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala, CPI (M) State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, KPCC President VM Sudheeran, BJP President Kummanam Rajasekharan and among others.
