New Delhi, Jan 6: In order to give the final shape to poll strategy for upcoming assembly elections in five states. BJP's two-day national executive meet began in New Delhi where key political and economic issues are likely to be discussed.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also address party workers at the meeting, which is being attended by former BJP presidents, party Chief Ministers and around 350 party members.
Earlier in the morning Party President Amit Shah inaugurated the office bearer's meet where he directed party officials to conduct various programme to spread the various pro poor initiatives by Modi government.
Delivering the inaugural address, party chief Amit Shah hailed demonetisation and surgical strikes as "historical decisions". On this occasion PM Narendra Modi felicitated at the National Executive by the Parliamentary Board members for his historic demonetization decision.
Key economic and political resolutions are scheduled to be adopted at the convention. BJP's central election committee is likely to announce the names of party candidates after the auspicious 'Makar Sankranti' which falls on January 14.
