Panaji, Jan 6: In an attempt to retain the turf of Goa, BJP has decided to organise at least two public rallies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the poll bound state. A 40-member Goa assembly will go to polls on February 4.
Speaking to the media BJP MP Narendra Sawaikar said that Party president Amit Shah during his visit on January 22-23 will finalises the overall poll strategy. He further added that BJP state unit has geared up for the utmost state election and party workers are mobilising the voters in all constituencies.
"We have also started the process to decide names of candidates. The state election committee will meet on January 8-9 where all reports would be prepared and sent to central election committee said Sawaikar.
Senior leaders including Union ministers Rajnath Singh, Venkaiah Naidu, Nitin Gadkari and Smriti Irani, besides Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, Karnataka BJP president BS Yeddyurappa will be participating in the high voltage political campaign in coming days.
BJP has already announced that they will field candidates on 37 seats and extend support to three others in Catholics-dominated Nuvem, Benaulim and Velim.
