New Delhi, Jan 6: Manoj Verma is appointed as national convener of Bajrang Dal, the youth brigade of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). He will be assisted by Sohan Singh Solanki from Madhya Pradesh as national co-convener.
These appointments were declared by VHP International General Secretary Champat Rai. He has also declared the appointment of Milind Parande as new Joint General Secretary of the VHP.
Giving information about these appointments, VHP Spokesperson Vinod Bansal said that they were appointed at the recently concluded meeting of the VHP Board of Trustees and Managing Committee (BTMC).
This meeting was held at Maa Umiya Dham ashram near Nagpur in Maharashtra in the last week of December 2016.
Manoj Verma has been the key figure in reviving the Baba Budha Amarnath Yatra in the terror-infested district of Punch in J & K. He was national head of Bajrang Dal training camps. Prior to this, he was organising secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).
Milind Parande was holding the responsibility of Central Secretary of VHP before being elevated as Joint General Secretary, Bansal said.
