Bandipora Encounter: two LeT terrorists eliminated in J&K

Srinagar, October 11: The Encounter began on Wednesday morning in Jammu and Kashmir resulted in the execution of two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists in Hajin of Bandipora district. While tackling the unidentified terrorists, two Indian Air Force GARUD personnel SGT K Milind Kishor and CPL Nilesh Kumar Nayan were martyred.

J&K Director General of Police, SP Vaid said that one gunned down terrorist has been identified as a local Nasrullah Mir, and other is a Pakistani national named Ali Baba. He was instrumental in terror incidents in Hajin area. The encounter is still underway and it is believed that 2-3 terrorists are trapped.


 

The attack was started by the terrorist on 13 RR of army and SOG of J&K police in the area of Rakh of Hajin in the morning. The martyred CPL Nilesh Kumar Nayan was from Sultanganj, Jharkhand and SGT Milind Kishor were from Maharashtra.

On 10th October, four terrorists including a top Jaish-e-Mohammed commander Abu Khalid was eliminated in two different encounters in the Baramulla and Shopian district. Arms and ammunition including two AK Rifles and one INSAS rifle with the body of slain terrorists were recovered from the spot.

To finish terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir is the topmost agenda of Indian security forces. Therefore, In a time period of only 10 months, Anti-Terrorism operation is continued with such a speed that at least 160 terrorists are eliminated by Indian troops.
