Beirut, October 13: Islamic State, the most dangerous terrorist group is now fallen weak in many countries including Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria as the US-backed coalition hunting them effectively. Notably, the Syrian Army backed by Russian airstrikes killed at least fifty ISIS terrorists in and around Al-Mayadeen on Thursday.
The Syrian Army backed by Russian forces launched a massive series of airstrikes on camps of ISIS terrorist group in and around Al-Mayadeen city of Beirut in which at least 50 terrorists were killed. Syrian military source further confirmed the killing of 50 ISIS terrorists in anti-terrorist operation which was conducted for more than 24 hours on Thursday.
Syrian military source also said that ISIS is now throwing everything it has at Syrian Army units in and around Al-Mayadeen and that the terrorist group’s forces, given the rate of losses in the battle so far, are approaching the point of total collapse.
Meanwhile, Islamic State suicide attackers have killed 50 civilians in a triple car bomb attack among a group of refugees in northeast Syria. The attack took place at Abu Fas, near the border of Deir al-Zor and Hasaka provinces and the dead included many refugees.
Earlier, on October 6 of this year, Syrian military backed by the US-led coalition has cleared Islamic State from its last pocket of territory in central Syria after months of fighting. Syrian forces have also reclaimed Homs city and Aleppo from the possession of Islamic States.
Interestingly, Syria is affected by the civil war since many years due to which thousands of civilians lost their lives while millions were displaced. However, the civil war in Syria has erupted due to clashes between many terrorist organizations and government forces. At least 1,70,000 foreign terrorists have fought under different banners throughout Syria’s civil war.
Over 80,000 foreigners from countries such as Tunisia, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Germany, France and the Caucasus have been recruited and traveled to Syria between 2013 and 2016 to fight alongside ISIS. This recruitment has been ongoing since 2013. Foreigners comprised up to 85% of ISIS terrorists, and despite the operation launched in mid-2016 to rout the terror organization from Iraq and Syria, over 20,000 foreign terrorists are still fighting alongside ISIS.
