Amit Shah Flaggs off the Second leg of "Gujarat Gaurav Yatra" at Porbandar

Porbandar, Oct 2: On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, BJP Chief Amit Shah today flagged off the second phase of Gujarat Gaurav Yatra, a mega outreach programme which will cover the region of south Gujarat and Saurashtra ahead of the assembly election.

Launching a frontal attack on Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi Shah said that the Congress leader must wear Gujarati glasses instead of Italian in order to see the development under the BJP government.

From the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, state BJP in-charge Jitu Vaghani will lead the prestigious yatra. Vaghani, who himself hails from Patidar Stronghold Saurashtra will cover 73 assembly seats by traveling 2,395km.

Shah also visited Kirti Mandir, the birthplace of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi at Porbandar. He was accompanied by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, Union Minister Purushottam Rupala, and other party office bearer.

Earlier BJP Supremo Amit Shah inaugurated the first leg of Yatra at Karamsad—the birthplace of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. This phase will be helmed by Dy Chief Minister Nitin Patel.
