Rajnath Singh in Uttarakhand met ITBP officials and celebrated Dussehra, assured to develop the borders

Dehradun, October 2: The tensions between Indo-China borders might have rested but the clash could rise up again. Taking the stock of the situation, Home Minister Rajnath Singh visited Uttarakhand for three days from September 28. Singh started his tour in Uttarakhand by meeting the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel at Gauchar. Showing the officials respect, Home Minister saluted them for their bravery in the challenging conditions they survive.
Singh also went further ahead to celebrate Dussehra at the ITBP camp in Joshimath by performing Shashtra Puja. He later on visited Kedarnath Temple and performed a puja again. After his quick visit to Kedarnath, he went in to the ITBP’s Lapthal and Rikhim Border out Posts and inaugurated the Civic Action Programme and Blood Donation Camp. At the Sainik Sabha in Gauchar, he assured to double the funds for the border area development project to boost security along the boundary of the state. Speaking on the Doklam issue, Singh said that the talks are going on. He said,” No nation wants war and we will sort out the issue through talks.”
Home Minister Rajnath Singh promised that the hilly tourist state would receive all the service that it requires. Apart from holding events with the ITBP personnels, Singh also participated in a cleanliness event. Joining students of Central School at Gauchar, Singh took part in the Swacchta Hi Sewa campaign. He encouraged people to seek a balance and keep their environment clean and green.
