Bengaluru, Oct 23: In order to regain the lost turf of Karnataka, BJP is all set with its mega poll strategy for the upcoming state assembly elections scheduled in May 2018. Under the leadership of former Chief Minister and state BJP In-charge B S Yeddyurappa, the principal opposition party will be launching a 75-day mass outreach programme called 'Nava Karnataka Nirmana Parivartan Yatra'. BJP president Amit Shah will inaugurate the mega event on November 2.

According to media reports around 1.6 lakh workers from 27,000 polling booths in southern Karnataka will be attending the first leg of Parivartan yatra at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre. On November 17 Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will flag off the second phase from Hubballi.

Informing about the development BJP National general secretary and Karnataka Poll Manager P Muralidhar Rao said that larger number of BJP workers and party officials would participate in the campaign against the ineffective and indecisive Congress government headed by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He further added that party will engage in direct interaction with people targeting all the 224 Assembly segments.

Slamming incumbent state government Rao announced that BJP will expose the corrupt practices helmed by CM Siddaramaiah. “BJP will make the life of the ruling Congress difficult” by continuing to expose one scam after the other during the 75-day ‘yatra’” Rao added. As reported by a Deccan Herald, some Congress lawmakers and other party members will be shifting sides in the presence on Amit Shah ahead of the crucial political faceoff.
