Chennai, October 6: The Supreme Court has granted five days parole to Sasikala Natrajan which will be effective from 7th October to 11th October 2017. Former AIADMK General Secretary was found guilty in the case of disappropriate assets and termed for four-year jail in Bengaluru.
Due to the bad health of Sasikala’s husband M.Natrajan, SC has granted her parole. Recently he had a kidney transplant. Quoting husband's health, Shashikala had demanded a leave from the jail. On Friday, the court granted a parole of 5 days.
Sasikala was known as very close to the Former CM of Tamil Nadu J. Jayalalithaa. After ex-CM’s death, Sasikala unanimously appointed as the interim secretary general of AIADMK by party’s general counsel.
A two-bench Supreme Court jury found her guilty and ordered the arrest of Sasikala in a disproportionate-assets case. She was expelled from the Party including her husband M. Natarajan.
