This year security forces are conducting massive anti-militancy operations and have eliminated about 190 terrorists so far.

This has resulted in a remarkable change in the situation,” General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 15 Corps Lt Gen J S Sandhu said. Kashmir which is said the heaven on earth has turned into a hell of violence after waking of militants. Jammu and Kashmir DGP SP Vaid said Kashmir valley needs to be free from violence, terror, guns, and drugs.

The terrorists think they are fighting for the sake of Allah or Islam and hence call themselves Mujahid. A joint team of Army, SOG and CRPF launched a combing operation in Bandipora, North Kashmir. The operation was launched following some inputs that indicated the presence of some militants at Chandergeer in Hajin. The encounter started after hiding militants started firing.
