Sochi, November 23: On Syria issue, the three guarantors of a ceasefire in the civil-war-torn country had a talk in Sochi. Russian President Vladimir Putin said presidents of Russia, Iran, and Turkey have adopted a joint declaration on their countries’ cooperation in resolving the Syria crisis. As per a report from Press TV, Syria has hailed the outcomes of the result.

The three leaders decided to have a planned congress and urged Syrian government and moderate opposition to “participate constructively” which will be held again in Sochi. The congress is supposed to look at the key questions on Syria’s national agenda. From drawing-up of a framework for the future structure of the state to the adoption of a new constitution will be discussed to have a political crisis-free Syria. Though Saudi-owned Al Arabiya television reported, the oppositions held a meeting sticking to the demand for resignation of Syrian president Assad.

Like previous talks, Presidents again underscored the need for rapid, safe and unhindered humanitarian access and emphasized the need for the Syrian parties to take confidence-building measures, including the release of detainees, abductees and the handover of the bodies. They also called on the international community for more aid to Syria.

“In light of the Syrian Arab Republic’s commitment to support any political step that respects the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Syria and contributes to sparing the blood of the Syrian people, the Syrian government welcomes the final statement of the tripartite summit held today in Sochi,” said a statement released by the Syrian Foreign Ministry on Wednesday after the talk ended.
