Kowlong, November 24: Indian shuttler and Olympic silver medal winner PV Sindhu advanced into the quarterfinal of the Hong Kong Open Super Series badminton tournament. PV Sindhu will be up against fifth seed Akane Yamaguchi of Japan in the quarterfinals on Friday.

Second seeded Sindhu defeated Japan’s Aya Ohori 21-14, 21-17 in a second-round match which lasted for 39 minutes. It was Sindhu’s third win over the Japanese Player. Sindhu looked aggressive to defeat her opponent in straight games.
