India in one voice strongly condemns heinous act of terrorism, the #EgyptMosqueAttack

Cairo, November 25: Is even Islam safe in the hands of Islamic states? The deadliest terrorist attack on the Mosque of Sinai region in Egypt has raised this question. Egypt is trying to prove that they are not terrorists but they themselves are being terrorized. The terrorist attack occurred when the Friday prayers were going on. The death toll has risen to 235 and around 100 are injured.


 

On this issue Prime Minister Narendra Modi has strongly condemned the barbaric attack on the place of worship. He has condoled to the families of the people who have lost their lives in this attack. Modi has also shown a strong support from India against terrorism. “We support the fight against all forms of terrorism” he says. Modi also added by saying, “We stand with the people and also with the Government of Egypt.”

 

President Kovind has also paid his condolences to the betrayed families. “Shocked by this horrifying attack in Egypt. India sympathies and supports the people and government of Egypt” Prez Kovind Tweeted.

 
Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an official statement in Arabic condemning this deadliest attack. Additionally Minister of Foreign Affairs Sushma Swaraj had a telepjone conversation with Foreign Minister Shoukry which expressed condemnation of barbaric terrorist attack and expressed condolences to the innocent victims. India supports the fight against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, and stands with the people and Government of Egypt
