Kolkata, December 14: While the residents in Bengal are already scared about dengue outbreak, a new report on Chicken Pox outbreak might scare them more. The state has recorded the highest number of the death toll from Chicken Pox. In 2016, 60 people had fallen victim to Chicken Pox across India while 35 among them were from West Bengal.

A recent report from Central government has given out this information. As per local reports, while state government is supposed to analyze the detailed reasons behind its death, it is only sending information to the Central government. If any other new virus of chicken Pox is spreading in the state, that also needs to be tested to know the reasons for death.

Showing same denial mode like in dengue, a top official of state health department has denied any case of death from Chicken Pox. If diseases like Meningitis, Encephalitis, Diabetes, Pneumonia attacks patient along with chicken pox that can be fatal for the patient. Hence it is also needed to test if the dual infection is attacking patients.

Chickenpox, also called varicella, is characterized by itchy red blisters that appear all over the body. A virus causes this condition. It often affects children and was so common it was considered a childhood rite of passage.
