Dubai, December 17: India's star shuttler and Olympic silver medallist PV Sindhu on Saturday swiftly stormed into the finals of women's singles of Dubai Super Series Finals which is being held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Notably, PV Sindhu registered an impressive win over Chen Yufei of China in straight games in the women's singles semifinals round. The 22-year-old Indian dished out her Chinese opponent by 21-15, 21-18 in a match that lasted a little less than an hour.

PV Sindhu will now face World No. 2 Akane Yamaguchi of Japan, who outclassed Thailand's Ratchanok Intanon 17-21, 21-12, 21-19 in another semifinal on Saturday in the final clash. Sindhu had earlier defeated Yamaguchi in straight games in her last Group A match that was played on Friday.

After winning the match, the 22-year old Indian said "Overall, it was a very good quality match. Though I won in straight games, there were long rallies. It never got over till the last point. I was just thinking about the next point, each point is important. Chen is an upcoming player and she has played exceptionally well. Her defence is solid."

However, PV Sindhu has become only 2nd Indian to reach Singles Final of prestigious World Superseries Finals. Earlier Saina reached Final of 2011 event but unfortunately, she lost to Wang Yihan. In the year 2009, mixed doubles pair of Jwala Gutta and V Diju also reached the finals of Dubai Open but ended as runners-up.
