Pawan Kalyan opposes privatization of Dredging Corporation of India, seeks PM Modi’s intervention

Visakhapatnam, December 7: Launching a direct attack on BJP led NDA government at the center, Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan has openly opposed the alleged privatization of Dredging Corporation of India. On December 6, the ace actor extended his support for the ongoing protest against the proposed move.

Speaking to the media, Pawan slammed Centre and state government for keeping mum on the burning issue which instigated distress and fear among DCI workers. He dared Prime Minister Narendra Modi to face the political consequences if not rolled back. The Jana Sena leader has written an official letter raising the issue of employment of PSU employees.





As reported by The Hindu business line Pawan warned BJP and said, the “downfall of BJP will begin from Visakhapatnam, if the Centre does not shelve its decision for a strategic sale of DCI.” The leader also appealed YSR Congress Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to back the movement in favor of Dredging Corporation of India worker. Later the superstar met the family of N. Venkatesh, who had committed suicide out of the fear of losing a job.
