Budget 2017 pulled off many expectations as the demonetization drive drew the climax in the minds of people. This budget had huge expectations as it was the first of its kind to get presented before assembly elections. Finally when the Budget 2017 was announced by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, social media platform Twitter was spurred up with the tweets of common people expressing different emotions.Ultimately the opinions of people show the effects of the governance and the administration. Let’s have a look on some of them:
The Budget 2017 could be described in a best way with this tweet:
Common people have expressed their gratitude by reacting to the cut down of political donations from Rs.20,000 to Rs.2000. And for higher payments the transactions should be carried out via cheque or e-payment. This will help track the transactions if they exceed higher amounts. Also it is considered that the political parties are responsible for the corrupt administration as they wobble up money under the names of funds and donations. This move will curb the illegal sources of transactions.
People have sighed relief over the announcement of paying taxes over annual income. It said that the people who have annual income upto 3 lakhs are exempted from paying taxes and those having more than 2.5 Lakhs are supposed to pay 5% rather than 10% which has cut down to half. This means the person will reap more than earlier from its income which is again a relief measure from this budget.
The budget spoke wellness for the poor and underprivileged which was lauded by many people.
An economist tweeted saying that abolition of Foreign Investment Promotion Board, curbing service tax from railway online portal IRCTC, this will pave way towards transforming India into better one. This budget ensures ‘Minimum Government and Maximum Governance’. Jaitley too said that this Budget2017 will pave way towards energizing, transforming and cleaning India.
Many of them said that previous budget was hollow and vague as it just blabbered and didn’t work pro-common man. Budget 2017 seems to be well structured and is way better than the previous ones which cater to common man for the betterment of common people.
Here is the tweet of well-known author Chetan Bhagat who spoke on the budget.
Many of them have relieved the expression of satisfaction saying that the best highlight about the budget was the ‘curbing the political funding’. No wonder our nation was mired politically more than any other virus.
Budget 2017 thrust on relieving middle class people, providing affordable houses to the poor and neediest, curbing black money, boosting transparency in political funding and simplifying the tax administration.
Not only people but the stock markets too showed hike in the rupee when Finance Minister announced the budget. The growth of 1% was seen in both Sensex and Nifty.
The budget primarily focuses on the poor and underprivileged. Also special sector for women is gong to get landed to empower women.
As coin has two sides, even people casually expressed that like every year Its is the common man who is affected even the same is expected as announcing new budgets won’t make any difference. There was sarcasm portrayed towards the government which took nation too low at the times of Congress.
Well then as Budget 2017 has hit many into both positive and negative ways, let us see what is brings for the nation as whole.
