Mumbai, Feb 1: Terming Union Budget presented by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley as a “path-breaking move Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that this budget will bring a socio-economic change in the lives of vulnerable section of the society.
Congratulating union minister for the budget 2017, Fadnavis tweeted, “Pathbreaking budget! It has the same disruptive effect as demonetisation had. Country will leapfrog to next level”.
Giving a full credit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his decision of demonetization CM Fadnavis said, “Positive effect of demonetisation, the increase in capital expenditure by 25% will generate more jobs”.
Pointing out the specific allocation in the field of infrastructure Fadnavis asserted that the historic 5 lakh crore allocation in this sector will allow liquidity with banks to be invested in national interest.
CM also said that, with this move housing sector will get a boost which will result into the availability of affordable housing for poor and middle class, generating more employment.
Commenting on the new provisions of taxation Fadnavis stated that the path breaking income tax reforms and slashing slab from 10% to 5% will encourage tax compliance. He also mentioned that the reduction of taxes for MSME sector will create a level playing field and create more job opportunities.
Appreciating the new norms of political funding Fadnavis noted that, the transparent political funding will kill the cancer of corruption and black money and cleanse the polity.
