New Delhi, Feb 14 : Coming out as a big blow for Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejariwal, the centre has granted the permission for the prosecution of former Principal Secretary Rajendra Kumar in the graft case.
Citing the reason of pending corruption case against Kumar the centre has rejected his plea demanding the voluntary retirement from the service. The decision comes after the careful examination of the CBI's request by the Home Ministry.
A charge sheet was filed against Rajendra Kumar in the month of December last year in the graft case during his tenure as a Secretary of Information Technology Department. Kumar was arrested on July 4 and granted bail by a CBI court on July 26.
