Gandhinagar, Feb 17 : In a short visit to the home state, BJP president Amit Shah will mark his presence in the concluding ceremony of "Adivasi Vikas Gaurav Yatra" organised by state BJP in-charge Jitu Vaghani.
Speaking to the media party spokesperson Bharat Pandya informed that the Yatra which began from Unai in south Gujarat on February 7, will conclude at Ambaji in north Gujarat on February 18. This is the first event organised by state BJP president Jitu Vaghani after assuming the office.
Along with Amit Shah, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, deputy chief minister Nitin Patel Union minister Faggansingh Kulaste, BJP scheduled tribe (ST) morcha president Ramvichar Netam are also scheduled to attend the same. On this occasion Shah will address the gathering of booth level worker from six districts of north gujarat.
The main purpose of this yatra was to inform tribals of the state about various welfare schemes launched by state government. It also informed about the implementation of the PESA Act and details pertaining to development of tribals achieved in the last two decades. Later in this year Gujarat will go to poll where it has large number tribal population in the region of Dang and Navsari.
