Imphal, Feb 20 : Calling congress party a spent force ahead of the crucial assembly polls in the state of Manipur Arunachal Pradesh Minister Pema Khandu said that event after the 15 years congress government no substantial efforts have been taken for the development of the state. He was speaking at the Vision Document release programme organised by state unit of BJP.
Hailing Prime Minister Narendra Modi for various proactive measures for the north eastern region Khandu mentioned that no other union government has taken up so many development projects and welfare schemes as done by the Government led by Prime Minister Modi. He also mentioned that Act East Policy will transform the north eastern region for achieving inclusive growth.
Underlining the strategic importance of the state, Khandu pointed out that Manipur is known all over the world for its rich culture and vibrant sporting tradition. Commenting on the issues like education and unemployment khandu stated that a large number of educated Manipuri youth are unemployed due to rigid policies of the state government.
Accusing congress party for politicizing the issue of economic blocked khandu said that the state government has failed miserably in restoring the law and order situation even after the assistance from centre.
Sharpening his attack on Congress party the chief minister asserted that, Manipur needs a BJP Government for making the benefits of all welfare schemes and development projects accessible to all sections of people including those at the grassroots level. He urged people to elect BJP for the overall development of the state.
