Agartala, Feb 21 : Announcing the mega skill development plan for the state of Tripura, Union Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy said that government will utilize the platform of Industrial Training Institute in order to bridge the gap between industry and skilled personals. He was speaking at the Tripura's first Digi-Dhan mela.
Referring to the Prime Minister Modi’s flagship programme of Skill India, minister stated that skill development initiatives will reduce the problem of unemployment in the country.
He also informed that, central government has decided to set up at least one Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in each block of the country to provide platform for the skill development. He further added that around 15,000 new ITIs will transform the lives of youth force.
Commenting on the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikash Yojana minister informed that central government has allotted the fund of Rs 54 crore for Tripura in order to boost enterprising milieu. The PMKVY was launched in July last year with the initial allocation of Rs 12,000 crore.
