Hyderabad, Feb 21 : Hailing the creative work of K Raghavendra Rao and Nagarjuna for the devotional film Om Namo Venkatesaya, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu said that every citizen should watch the spiritually enlightening film.
He was speaking to media after a special screening at at Prasads Labs Labs in Hyderabad. After watching the movie congratulated the whole team of Om Namo Venkatesaya.
Appreciating Nagarjuna for his marvellous acting Naidu said, “Though it’s a Telugu film, every Indian should definitely watch it. I am very happy that actor Nagarjuna is bringing films like Annamayya, Shiridi Sai, Sri Ramadasu and now Om Namo Venkatesaya”. He also suggested that more number of films depicting India’s rich culture, tradition, heritage and spiritual health should be produced for the younger generation.
Om Namo Venkatesaya is a mythological screen play based on the story of Hathi Ram Bavaji, a devotee of Lord Venkateswara. The movie was produced by Mahesh Reddy under the banner of AMR Sai Krupa Entertainments. Directed by K K Raghavendra Rao who is famous for making devotional movies has collected Rs 5.56 Cr in the entire first week of its run in the two states.
The Multi starrer movie also features Anushka Shetty, Vimala Raman, Pragya Jaiswal as female leads where Saurabh Raj Jain has played the role lord Balaji. Songs are composed by MM Keeravani and Cinematography is handled by S Gopal Reddy.
