Kolkata, February 23: Today everything is getting occupied in our smartphones . Our information, right from password to our important credentials are now operated and stored via smart phones. In order to prevent the misuse and ensure the privacy, Vodafone introduced ‘Private Recharge Mode’ for its subscribers in West Bengal.Vodafone’s Private Recharge Mode enables its subscribers to recharge their mobile phones without sharing their mobile numbers with retailers. The customer needs to send a toll free SMS –‘Private’ to 12604 and then an One Time Password OTP code will be provided to the customer. This code can be used for subsequent recharges till midnight of the same day. Private Recharge Mode is a free-of-cost service for West Bengal subscribers.
This service enables users to recharge their cell-phone without sharing their number to the retailers. As the OTP code is used to recharge the number. This initiative has undertaken in order to maintain secrecy of one’s mobile number to get misused.
