New Delhi, Feb 28 : Emerging out as the single largest party in the recently held elections of Municipal Corporation and zilla parishad in the state of Maharashtra Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In his one day short visit Devendra Fadnavis met PM Modi and briefed him about the ongoing political situation after the unprecedented victory of Maharashtra BJP. According to media reports both the leaders have discussed the future plans for the state especially for the post of Mumbai Mayor.
CM Devendra Fadnavis also met Minister for Environment Anil Dave and discussed various issues like redevelopment of slums in CRZ and permission for the much awaited costal road in Mumbai.
Informing about the decision Fadnavis said, “With this I am confident that we can move fast for conservation of Raigad fort, for which we have budgeted more than Rs 600 crore. “Now, we can do lot more in conserving all forts related to life and journey of our great king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to inspire generations to come”.
He also stated that master plan for development of Raigad Fort will be approved by the Archaeological Survey of India and it will be executed by the Maharashtra government under the supervision of ASI.
