Salary will be deducted of those who don't take care of their parents

Guwahati, February 9: Assam government has taken up a special initiative to benefit the elderly people who are being maltreated by their children. Assam government has passwed a bill which states that the salary will get deducted of the government employees who won’t take care of their parents.The Finance Minister for Assam Biswa Sharma announced his first budget which not only catered to the infrastructural development but also highlighted the rural development that targets farmers, youth and women. The rare initiative was taken by the State government when it announced that those employees who carelessly treat their parents and don’t take care of them, their salary will be deducted.

The Finance Minister Biswa Sharma said that the employees working in government enterprises, public sectors enterprises and organizations are expected to take proper care of their parents. If they don’t do then their salary will be deducted and their parents will get the benefit.”

Sharma also spoke about the proposals made by his government under the leadership of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal which were building engineering and medical colleges, universities, degree colleges, planetariums, science centres, training centres and tea manufacturing plants to boost its development. Also mid-day meal will be provided twice a week for lower and upper primary class people. This will cost around 130 Crores where 42.61 Lakh children will get rid of malnutrition. This move will not only feed children but also the demand for egg production will rise.

This is the first budget under the leadership of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. This budget mainly focuses on farmers, youth and women.
