New Delhi, March 1 : Coming out as a big relief for the commuters of Mumbai, central government has given a green single for the much awaited Mumbai costal road between Nariman Point and Kandivali. The 35.6 km long costal road will change the dynamics of Mumbai’s transportation system.
During a short visit to the national capital Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadanavis, who is also holding the charge of urban development ministry called on Union Minister for Environment and Forests Anil Dave and urged him for the fast track clearance to the mega project for Mumbaikars.
While interacting with media Fadnavis informed that the final notification for the Rs 12,000-crore coastal road project will be issued within a month. The chief minister said, “The coastal road project is a reality and we will ensure its work starts soon from the southern side of Mumbai.”
