Dehradun, March 11 : Proving to be a giant killer, BJP has snatched the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand from incumbent from Congress party. Bagging 57 seats out of 70 assembly segments with the vote share of 46.5 % BJP is heading towards the landslide victory in Uttarakhand.
Facing the heat of Modi wave Chief Minister Harish Rawat, who was contesting from two seats could not manage to win a single seat. Rawat lost his Kichcha seat by less than 100 votes. BJP’s Rajesh Shukla won the seat where Haridwar (Rural) seat was grabbed by the BJP Candidate Yatishwaranand by a margin of around 9,000 votes.
