Mumbai, March 14: How easy it would get for us if the details or circulars provided by Reserve Bank of India could get at our fingertips! To ensure easy availability of data the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has launched a mobile app version of the RBI website.The application can be downloaded from the Play Store or an App Store, using the keyword 'Reserve Bank of India'. This application will be available on both Android and iOS platforms, it said in a statement.
“Press releases, Indian financial system codes (IFSC)/magnetic ink character notification (MICR) codes, bank holidays and current rates including policy rates and reference rate of four major currencies have been made available on the application,” RBI said.
Also on the top of the landing page of the application, public awareness messages on the newly designed currency notes of Rs 2,000, Rs 500 and know your customer (KYC) norms are also displayed. On clicking on any of these, the user can open and read the full text of the public awareness message issued.
The user can also activate the feature of 'push' notification to get an alert on new releases. The central bank has also offered an option for users to send their suggestions and feedback through email.
