Mumbai, March 17: Bollywood star and veteran actor Akshay Kumar yet again comes forward to help the martyred soldier’s family and provided a financial assistance of Rs 1.08 crore. Home Minister of India Rajnath Singh also thanked Akshay for his kind support to the soldiers via twitter post.
Rajnath Singh tweeted, “I thank Shri @akshaykumar on donating a generous amount for the welfare of the families of CRPF martyrs who lost their lives in Sukma.” He further tweeted, “The generosity of Shri @akshaykumar is highly commendable. This gesture will inspire others to come forward & help the families of martyrs.”

However, Akshay Kumar by donating this amount again proved his patriotism and sent a message across the world that still good people exists who never hesitate to help those in need. Meanwhile, the whole country is touched by Akshay’s sweet gesture.

Notably, Akshay Kumar donated Rs 9 lakh each to the families of 12 jawans martyred in the battle between the CRPF and the Maoists. The brave jawans, who were from 219 battalion were killed in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district after an armed Naxal group ambushed a road opening party in the area’s Bheji village on March 11, Saturday.

Embeded ObjectAmit Lodha, DIG of Jaisalmer sector north said, Akshay was in constant contact with him and when he shared the details of the encounter and the slain jawans’ kin. Akshay then extended his help and expressed his desire to donate Rs 9 lakh each to families of the martyred jawans.

Interestingly, this is not the first time when Akshay has come forward to help families of martyred soldiers. Earlier also the Airlift actor has donated sums of money to martyrs and for other causes time and again. He also has expressed his views about the soldiers of our country via social media and also visited several army camps.

The actor also commented on the Bangalore molestation which shocked the whole nation. He vented his anger via a tweet in which he has appealed the Indians to show sensibility and urged the girls to learn self-defence. In a tweeted video on twitter, visibly enraged Akshay Kumar said: "The Bangalore incident makes me feel we are evolving backwards, from humans to animals, rather beasts’ coz even animals are better! Truly shameful."
