Mumbai, March 2: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan said that as someone who is active on social media should be prepared for trolls and abuses. Bachchan said at the trailer launch of his upcoming film "Sarkar 3".
The National Award-winning actor said, "I think if you are on social media, you should be prepared for trolls and abuses. I enjoy it," The 73-year-old actor regularly engages with his fans and followers on Twitter and Facebook. He calls them his 'extended family'.
Bachchan, however, sidestepped a question on Delhi University student Gurmehar Kaur, saying, "My opinion on the matter is personal and if I share it with you, it will become public."
Significantly, Lady Sri Ram College student Gurmehar Kaur, daughter of army martyr Captain Mandeep Singh, had launched a viral social media campaign against Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) following violence between members of unions AISA and ABVP workers in Delhi University's Ramjas College. She withdrew from the campaign after she faced threats and ridicule online.
