Mumbai, March 22: Today 19 opposition MLAs were suspended by Speaker Haribhau Bagade from Maharashtra Assembly for creating ruckus during the Budget presentation which took place on 18th March, 2017. The 19 opposition MLAs have been suspended for the period of nine months which is from 22nd March till 31st December.During the presentation of Budget 2017-18, opposition party members created ruckus over the farm loan waive issue. Maharashtra’s State Budget and Economic Survey report was presented amidst ruckus created by the opposition party MLAs. The MLAs suspended are Amar Kale, Vijay Waddetiwar, Harshwardhan Sakpal, Abdul Sattar, D P Sawant, Sangram Thopte, Amit Zanak, Kunal Patil, Jaikumar Gore (all from Congress) besides Bhaskar Jadhav, Jitendra Awhad, Madhusudan Kendre, Sangram Jagtap, Avdhut Tatkare, Deepak Chavan, Datta Bharne, Narhari Jirval, Vaibhav Pichad and Rahul Jagtap from the NCP.
Maharashtra Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantinwar expressed disappointment and on this the MLAs burnt the copies of the same outside the Assembly on March 18. The action has been taken against these MLAs for showing banners and placard, not following rules, burning Budget copies outside the Assembly.
Meanwhile, the delegation leaders from opposition parties would meet Governor Vidyasagar Rao today by 4.00 p.m.
