Lucknow, March 22 : The much awaited portfolios of Uttar Pradesh ministers were allocated a day after the Chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s Delhi visit. Following the instructions of PM Narendra Modi and BJP Chief Amit Shah Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has retained the crucial home department along with revenue.
Deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has been given the responsibility of Public Works Department along with Food Processing, Entertainment Tax and Public Enterprises Department.
Senior leader and Deputy chief Minister Dinesh Sharma will be heading the Higher and Secondary Education, Science and Technology, Electronics and IT departments.
Prominent leader Siddharth Nath Singh will be the Health minister of the state where Srikant Sharma will look after the energy portfolio. Swami Prasad Maurya gets labour and employment exchanges, urban employment and poverty alleviation. Rajesh Agarwal will be the head of finance ministry.
Rita Bahuguna Joshi gets child development ministry, maternal and child welfare and Tourism, where Swati Singh has been rewarded with women and child welfare portfolio. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s council of ministers has 22 other Cabinet ministers, nine ministers of state with independent charge and 13 ministers of state.
