Mumbai, March 23: Good news for the India's 32 centrally contracted cricketers as Indian Cricket board (BCCI) on Tuesday doubled their Annual Retainership fee. Notably, the Committee of Administrators of BCCI announced the double hike in the annual salary of cricketers for male cricketers for the period ending 30th September this year.
According to the revised Annual Retainership fee, Grade A players would now get Rs two crore instead of Rs one crore, while the Grade B and C players will get Rs 1 crore and Rs 50 lakh, respectively. The match fee for Test matches has been hiked to Rs 15 lakh per match from Rs 7.50 lakh. For the ODIs and T20Is, the fee has been doubled to Rs 6 lakh and 3 lakh, respectively. The match fee increase will be effective from October last year.
