New Delhi, March 23 : Hitting hard at the opposition for questioning the motive of BJP Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said, “Electronic voting machines don’t make or break fortune; voters do”.
Speaking in the upper house on electoral reforms Prasad underlined that opposition parties must introspect about the recent electoral debacle in the four states instead of blaming EVM. He also advised all parties to respect the people’s mandate.
Citing the example of defeat of BJP in Bihar and Delhi, Union minister said, “When BJP lost elections in Bihar, and Delhi, the EVMs were fine. But now that we have won the EVMs are faulty”. He slammed opposition for targeting election commission and politicizing the issue.
