Lucknow, April 1: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has warned officers against any laxity and has said that playing with the welfare of the farmers cannot be allowed. Yogi said that Wheat Purchase Centres would start functioning from April 1 and has expected the MPs and MLAs to monitor the functioning of these centres so that the state government gets feedback from the field about compliance of its directives.
Providing this information, a state government spokesman said that the chief minister has told officers for any callousness found at any wheat purchase centre will be dealt with strictly. The Chief Minister also said that previous government had purchased wheat through middlemen, something which will not be allowed at any cost by the present State Government and wheat will be purchased from the farmers directly at all purchase centres.
For identification of farmers and cultivated area, Aadhar Number and account books of the farmers will be taken help of. Support Price amount will be directly transferred into the bank account of the farmer.
The Chief Minister has also directed all District Magistrates to ensure proper weighing and trustworthy system and also arrange for shade, drinking water and other public facilities for the farmers so that they do not face any inconvenience.
The present state government, Yogi Adityanath reiterated, was committed to getting the rightful price to farmers for their harvest and ensure their economic prosperity. For this, he stated, the State Government will do everything it can.Also, Chief Minister Yogi said that the present State Government was committed to act against corruption and added that all possible step would be initiated to weed out graft. He has asked his Ministers to recruit people with integrity and clean image in their personal staff, which in turn would realize the dream of the State Government to provide a corruption free and transparent administration.
