New Delhi, April 10 : After the successful bilateral talks, in a lighter vein Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull visited the world famous Swaminarayan Akshardham along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Both the leaders boarded the metro train at Mandi House station to visit the temple in east Delhi.
Sharing the photo of his Australian counterpart Modi twitted, “Visited the magnificent Akshardham Temple with PM @TurnbullMalcolm"
Earlier, in the day Australian Prime Minister was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhavan followed by the delegation level meeting where two countries have signed six MoUs in different fields including combating terrorism, civil aviation security, and satellite navigation.
This is the first state visit of Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to India since he assumed office in September 2015.
