Bhopal, April 11: Indian school team registered a comprehensive win against China n the semi-final at the 5th Asian School Hockey Championship at the Aishbagh Hockey Stadium on Monday. Notably, Indian team dominated China in the whole game and won the match by 11-0 and entered into the finals.
It was Mohammad Alishan who played impressively and had a major role in India’s victory with an outstanding six goals against China. He scored field goals for the team in the 28th, 32nd, 51st, 66th, 67th and 70th minute of the match.
Also, Rahul Kumar Rajbhar (1st minute), Pratap Lakra (18th minute), Akash Ekka (34th minute), Saif Mohammad Khan (43rd minute) and Manip Karketta (68th minute) were the other players who scored in India’s emphatic win. China’s players tried hard but weren't able to match up with the Indian team.
Meanwhile, in the 7th and 8th placing match, UAE beat Nepal 6-2 to finish their outing at the Championship at the seventh place while Nepal placed eighth. Bastien Sion (16', 21', 54',56' minute) of UAE scored an impressive four goals in the team's victory while Jan Daan (20' and 68' minute) scored two goals.
Now, India will take on Malaysia in the final of the fifth Asian School Hockey Championship in Bhopal. Importantly, in another semifinal match, defending champion Malaysia defeated Singapore by 12-0.
