New Delhi, April 13: India and Russia are looking forward to having stronger co-operational force in the field of science and technology. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which was signed between India and Russia has been appraised by the Union Cabinet chaired by Narendra Modi.
The main objective is to give a stronger backup to the joint scientific and research activities. Joint activities of scientific organizations, scientists from Republic of Russia and India will be aided through Department of Science and Technology (DST).
Exchange of information on conferences, forums, exhibitions, seminars which will benefit both the countries will take place. The two parties will decide together the theme for research projects and provide necessary support under certain conditions.
Various events related to the field will be conducted by the countries to establish a connection between the scientists. Special support will be provided to maintain direct connections.For the industrial benefit, interdisciplinary and multi-institutional projects will be developed.To make citizens aware about scientific activities necessary media coverage will be provided.
The MoU has been signed for next 5 years. If both the parties feel they will continue the MoU for further 5 years.
