Bhubaneswar, April 14 :
 The city of Bhubaneswar is all set for the two-day national executive meeting of Bhartiya Janta Party which is beginning from tomorrow. This will be the first national executive meeting of saffron party after the unprecedented victory of party in four states including the state of Uttar Pradesh.

In order to expand the political base of party in the eastern region targeting 2019 general elections, BJP has opted for the state of Odisha where the incumbent BJD under the leadership of Naveen Patnaik is facing the internal conflicts. BJP has only one Lok Sabha seat out the total 21 in the state and 10 out of the 147 assembly seats.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be attending the two day meet along with senior BJP leaders L K Adwani and M M Joshi. Around 350 national executive members along with chief ministers of BJP ruled states and senior union ministers will be attending the crucial organisational meet.

Briefing about the details of Prime Minister Modi’s scheduled Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that PM Modi will arrive at the state capital by 3.30pm tomorrow. He also added that Prime Minister will participate in the road show organised by state BJP unit.

 

Earlier Party Chief Amit Shah who arrived at Bhubaneswar was accorded a grand welcome by the enthusiastic party workers.
