California, April 18: Indian entrepreneurs are increasingly utilizing social media platforms for advertisements. Facebook has said that the number of advertisers on its platform has crossed 5 million and India is among the fastest growing markets. The top three verticals from which ads are flowing are e-commerce, entertainment and media and retail. Notably, 75% of these advertisers are outside the US.
Facebook said that the India, Thailand, Brazil, Mexico and Argentina are fastest growing markets for advertisements. Facebook also offered an update on its e-learning platform Blueprint, which offers tips and best practices for advertising on Facebook's apps and services. The social networking giant said Blueprint is now available in ten languages and that more than 1 million unique users, half being small businesses, use the platform.
"In November 2016, we announced, a single inbox to manage communications across Facebook, Messenger and Instagram within the Pages Manager App," Facebook wrote in a blog post. "Today, we're expanding these capabilities to desktop."
Number touting aside, Facebook says the new ad tools are designed to help businesses better manage their mobile advertising campaigns and connect with customers. To that end, the social networking giant is rolling out a new one-click option in its Ads Manager app that it says makes it easier to reinstate high-performing ads.
There's also a new way to manage customer messages on the desktop, as well as the new Mobile Studio, a content design platform that shows businesses how to create ads using only a mobile device.
