Lucknow, April 19: The Industrial Development minister of Uttar Pradesh Satish Mahana has said that the state government was alive to the needs and problems of the industrialists and will extend all possible cooperation in activating the closed textiles mills in the state.
He also informed that along with his minister of state Suresh Rana, he called on the union textiles minister Smriti Irani in New Delhi on April 17 and requested her to initiate process to restart the closed textile mills of the state. He also held wide ranging deliberations with the union minister on developing the state as a textile hub. A plan to revive the closed textiles mills, he said would soon be prepared.
Mahana further said that the union textiles ministers will take a meeting of officials from her department and their state counterparts and take appropriate decisions. Based on those decisions, prompt decisions would be taken further on priority basis, he further said.
The minister also informed that due to the sustained efforts of the state government, a conducive environment for the industrial development would soon be created in the state and efforts will be made to address the problems of entrepreneurs on top priority.
