Please… don’t stall the mega release of Baahubali 2 :  S. S. Rajamouli

Taking the cognizance of  ongoing protest against the mega film Baahubali 2 ahead of its grand release on April 28 Director S. S. Rajamouli has urged pro-Kannada organisations not to vent anger against the film.

Embeded ObjectIn an emotional appeal to the Kannadigas Rajamouli has released a video through his personal twitter account. The director thanked people of Karnataka for showering all the love for Baahubali Part I. “The way you accepted and appreciated Baahubali Part I, I request you to do the same for Part II”, he said.

Embeded ObjectDistancing himself from the alleged comments of actor Satyaraj Rajamouli said that he and his team was unaware of the actor’s remarks till it saw a video on a social media site. He also mentioned that stalling the release will defiantly affect the multi starter film.

Commenting on the viral video of Katappa Rajamouli underlined that comments by were made 9 years back and during this period many films of Satyaraj have been released including Baahubali part one. He also requested protestors not two involve the whole team in this matter. 

Rajamouli  said,“Sathyaraj has been ‘updated about the situation’ but beyond that the team could not do much.” Expressing his concern about the blocked of the director reiterated that the movie will suffer huge loss if not released as per schedule.

Sathyaraj, who hails from Tamil Nadu, has played the role of Katappa in Baahubali. A number of pro-Kannada groups are protesting against the actor for his derogatory comments on Cauvery river water dispute between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka about nine years ago.

Clarifying the stand of production house film’s producer, Shobu Yarlagadda said that the issue would be resolved amicably. “This is a very sensitive issue, and I don’t want to comment on it. The only thing I want to say is — we will resolve the issue amicably in the interest of all concerned,” said Shobu.
