Hyderabad, April 20: Under the ‘Ease of doing Business’ EODB parameters fixed by the World Bank, Telangana government is all set to introduce a new system of online permissions for the establishment of hospitals and diagnostic centres.M.Ramani, Director of Medical Education said that private hospitals and chemists can now apply online for permission as a single window under the Telangana State Industrial Project Approval & Self-Certification System (TS-iPass). Bring this new system will serve as time savvy. "This will reduce a lot of time and permissions can be monitored at various levels online," said an official.

As EODB rankings will focus on the health sector, this new initiative will provide information relating to drugs and chemists and even the applications will be integrated into the online forum. As the world is getting digital each and every aspect of society needs to get transformed.

In order to rank higher in Ease of doing Business’ EODB rankings for this year all the processes are expected to be completed by June. Today hospitals and diagnostic centres need to physically apply for various permissions like building and fire NOCs. "They need to procure dozens of such permissions from various bodies. This leads to red-tapism," the official added. Officials are working towards the methods where an online application can be tracked for rejections so that they can work on the correction mechanism.

What is red-tapism?
