Bhopal, April 21: Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh have declared “Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi” tax free on Thursday. The film which is going to be released on April 21 in the country is based on the life of Vijayaraje Scindia, who showed new thoughts in Indian politics.Sports and Youth Welfare Minister of Madhya Pradesh Yashodhara Raje Scindia has expressed her gratitude to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for declaring the film based on Rajmata Scindia’s life tax free in Madhya Pradesh. Scindia said that we get inspiration from Rajmata’s dedication. Her contribution in the development of Madhya Pradesh is extraordinary. Her lifestyle, struggle, victory-defeat and her thoughts hold a lot of significance in today’s circumstances.
"The commercial tax department issued the notification in this regard here from Mantralaya," an official statement of Chhattisgarh said. The historical drama has been directed by Gul Bahar Singh.
Meanwhile, Veteran actressturned-politician Hema Malini is honoured to be associated with a project like 'Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi', saying it sends across a very strong message for women. The actress says the film puts across the message that women can achieve anything with determination.
The film is based on the life and times of Vijaya Raje Scindia, popularly known as the Rajmata of Gwalior. "There are several messages (for women in the film), for instance what all you can do being a woman. The film also puts spotlight on what all she did for women," Hema Malini said.
