Washington, April 3: Until recently, US President Donald Trump spoke outwardly on the issue of ‘Brexit’ which failed to receive applause from the European Union, and now, Trump lands up in a novel situation wherein he has issued a final ultimatum to China regarding North Korea’s nuclear program.
According to an interview with popular news daily this Sunday, the President said that he will discuss the growing threat from Kim Jong-Un's nuclear programme with Chinese President Xi Jinping at his Florida’s Mar-a-Lago resort this week, in their first meeting.
The two leaders are expected to speak on various issues like North Korea, trade and territorial disputes over South China Sea.
Furthermore, he added, “China has great influence over North Korea and if Beijing decides to help US with North Korea, it will be very good for China, and if they don't it won't be good for anyone. United States could totally handle the situation in North Korea without China's help. “
UN resolutions have failed so far to control North Korea’s nuclear and missile testing programmes. Until now, North Korea has conducted 2 nuclear tests and 24 ballistic missile test. Such initiative by North Korea is making US uncomfortable as they are foreseeing a trouble coming soon. US Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley understands that the only country that can stop North Korea is China. And hence, a meeting will be held between the two developed countries, i.e. US and China.
