New Delhi, April 4: In order to nervy the poor government aimed to provide LPG as a clean cooking fuel across the nation under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY). Notably, acche din has arrived for the poor as the beneficiaries of Prime Minister’s Ujjwala Yojana has crossed two crore mark in less than a year.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed his happiness at Ujjwala Yojana, which aims to provide LPG connections to poor families, having more than two crore beneficiaries in less than a year. In a series of tweets, Modi said the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana is guided by a commitment to qualitatively change lives of poor women.
PM Modi tweeted, “Matter of immense joy and pride that the number of beneficiaries of PM Ujjwala Yojana has crossed 2 crore in less than a year!“Ujjwala Yojana is guided by a strong commitment to bring about a qualitative change in the lives of poor women. “I congratulate all beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana and those who are working round the clock to ensure its success”, he posted.
Importantly, the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana is a welfare program of the government of India, launched by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2016. The stated objective of the program is providing 50,000,000 LPG connections to women from families below the poverty line. The program was launched in Balia, Uttar Pradesh.
