New Delhi, April 4: Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore, Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting, said that the government of India took a step forward to ease issues related to entry for foreign film makers into the country. “Film Visa and the Film Facilitation Office (FFO) both aims in promoting India as an attractive filming destination to the world”, stated Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore in a meeting with Vice Minister of Telecom and Mass Communication of the Russian Federation, Alexey Volin on Monday.“National Centre of Excellence for Animations, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics (AVGC) to be set up in Mumbai by the Ministry”, said Col. Rathore during the discussion. Both the Ministers agreed to explore the possible collaboration between the two countries in the field of animations, graphics and visual content. They even discussed about the collaboration between the field of content generation and content delivery mechanisms for different target audiences specially kids and younger generation.The country will emphasize on exhibiting films by having Film Festivals in both country said Minister while discussing about the role of films as medium of cultural exchange. They even discussed about a possible collaboration between the National Film Development Corporation and its counterpart from the Russian Federation in the field of Film Bazaar.
