Bhopal, April 4: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that one each of Medical College, Engineering, Science and Arts College would be affiliated to the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi University. Medium of instruction in these colleges would be in Hindi.
The Chief minister said that to encourage and honour Hindi language, the academic journey will continue through the University. Budget provision would also be increased for this. Shri Chouhan was presiding over the fourth annual General Body meeting of the University at the Mantralaya today.
Chouhan said that the government will provide every possible assistance in fulfilling the aim of establishment of the University. Also, University Chancellor Dr. Mohanlal Chipa informed that the convocation ceremony of the University is being organised on coming April 18 in which Swami Govind Giri would be honoured with the honorary title. He said that 250 courses have already been prepared in Hindi language. The meeting was attended by General Body members and Chancellor of various universities.
Meanwhile, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi Vishwavidyalaya (ABHV) is a Unique University as it is totally dedicated towards the development of Hindi Language. It has also been established to promote the language as means of instruction and study for subjects like science, arts and various others and for spreading knowledge. The medium of study and instruction at the University is in Hindi and all research is also done in Hindi Language thus all subjects are taught in Hindi Language.
ABHV was established by the Government of Madhya Pradesh on 19th December 2011. Its foundation stone was laid by President Pranab Mukherjee on 6th June 2013 at Gram Mugliya Kot on a land of 50 acres. Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi University is a non-affiliating university and is named after former Prime minister of India and Hindi poet - Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The jurisdiction of the university is spread over all Madhya Pradesh. The governor of the Madhya Pradesh state is the Vice Chancellor of the University.
